 Join Black Duck Outfitters spring snow goose guides following the migration BACK north! We start in Missouri the first week in March and stay with the migrating spring snow geese all the way into North Dakota.
Hunts:
We hunt ALL DAY. Black Duck Outfitters spring snow goose guides hunt with HUGE decoys rigs of either 100% custom wind socks or full body snow goose decoys! You will be hunting using FA Brand layout blinds and electronic callers to bring the birds in “FEET DOWN” The maximum number of hunters per field is 6. Spring snow geese decoy in LARGE groups so we do try to have a full party to maximize the number of geese we can shoot!
Game:
Spring snows are a mixture of snow and blue geese plus Ross geese. The adult birds usually start the migration north first. Then the young birds take flight north. Our goal each year is to catch the adults first and then move north when the last of the juvenile birds are coming into the decoys. This way we stay with the most productive migration. All birds shot will be processed and you can take them home (up to your state's possession limit), or donate them. We don't believe in wasting game.
Weather:
The weather during spring snow goose season can vary greatly from morning and evening and from day to day. Temperatures can go from 20 degrees in the early morning hours to 70 degrees or higher in the afternoon. It may even snow in March or April.
Location:
Black Duck Outfitters spring snow goose guides stay in the heart of the Migration. We start in Missouri and will hunt Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and finally North Dakota to stay on the geese. The best way to plan a trip is to decide what days you want to hunt and CALL us for which area we will be hunting. A safe bet is March 1-14 Black Duck Outfitters will be in Missouri. March 15-30 we will be in South Dakota and after April 1 our spring snow goose hunts will be in North Dakota.
Accommodations:
Lodging is NOT included in our spring snow goose hunts, but we always have a block of hotel rooms set aside for our customers in each location that Black Duck Outfitters is hunting.
Included:
Fully licensed dedicated snow goose guides (we think some of our guides would rather snow goose hunt than eat, sleep or see their families!), decoys, blinds, electronic callers, dogs if needed.
Not Included:
Transportation, rental car, guns, ammo, bird processing, alcohol, licenses, food, lodging and gratuities.

Weather:
We can't guarantee weather or when the birds will fly, some things you just can't control. For water hunts, we reserve the right to reschedule or may offer you a field hunt option if the water is at a dangerous level due to heavy rain or winds. Your safety and the safety of our guides is our primary concern.
Deposits:
Deposits of 50% due at booking. Balance due when you arrive for your hunt. Due to limited availability and the advanced planning needed to ensure a quality trip, we are unable to refund any payments. We will be happy to Reschedule and answer any questions regarding this policy.
