Beavertail long shafts Mud Motors have been powering custom duck boats for over 10 years. If you need a motor for a 14’ boat or a 20’ boat, Beavertail has the right mud motor for you boat! Black Duck Outfitters uses both the 13hp and 27hp in our Maryland and Manitoba duck hunting operations. The motors have many great safety features built in and speed with the new 35hp motor.

This motor is very versatile. We've used it on everything from large sneak boats to flat jons. Perfect for one to two people and equipment. The best boat lengths for the standard 13 HP motor are 14' to 16'. Beavertail's Performance Pods make a world of difference with this motor. The aluminum frame 13 is great for larger sneak boats. This motor will do most everything the big motors, but will also save you some money.

This motor can used on a 14' or 15' jon boat, but for optimal performance we recommend Beavertail's Performance Pods. When you are hunting with three or more people, decoys and a dog, the 27 Kohler is the motor of choice. It's incredibly strong, reliable and fast.
