Combo Duck and Goose Hunts in Maryland
“Duck Man Dave” upper Potomac River combo duck and goose hunting for Black Ducks, Mallards, Woodies, Divers and Canada Geese. Dave guides both the early season in October and the late season November - January. Dave’s hunting style and techniques have been honed over 40 years of Potomac River duck and goose hunting.. He knows where the birds are in every type of hunting condition! You will be hunting from a custom duck boat over a variety of different species of duck and goose decoys.
Woodies are always on the hunt list as they stay on the river till late January. The resident geese, mallards and BLACK DUCKS help attract and hold all the migrating birds as they follow the river south. It is good hunting and when all the ponds are iced up, “Duck Man Dave” is “hiddin for my hole on the river”
Dave has been guiding for Black Duck Outfitters and a licensed Maryland duck and goose hunting guide for over 10 years. Hunters always have a safe and very memorable hunt with him. What's Included: Boats, Decoys, Blinds, Professional Guide, Trained retrievers, We meet between 5:30 and 6:00 AM and have you back at the boat ramp by noon.
You'll Need:
- Maryland Hunting License w/Stamps, 3 day waterfowl license available
- Shells, 1 & 2s for geese, 3 & 4s or equivalent for ducks
- Gun, we do not loan guns-NO EXCEPTIONS
- Appropriate Clothing for the Weather, a change of clothes is a good idea
- Waders, wet hunters are cold and miserable

Weather:
We can't guarantee weather or when the birds will fly, some things you just can't control. For water hunts, we reserve the right to reschedule or may offer you a field hunt option if the water is at a dangerous level due to heavy rain or winds. Your safety and the safety of our guides is our primary concern.
Deposits:
Deposits of 50% due at booking. Balance due when you arrive for your hunt. Due to limited availability and the advanced planning needed to ensure a quality trip, we are unable to refund any payments. We will be happy to Reschedule and answer any questions regarding this policy.
