 Join Black Duck Outfitters Pro-Staff for a GREAT speklebelly or snow goose hunt at the Boondocks Lodge in January or February every year!! Great way to end your waterfowl season with some FANTASTIC southern hospitality and GREAT goose hunting!! We will be hunting the last week in January for specs, canada geese and snows, then after the specklebelly/canada goose season ends January 30th, we will be hunting just snows for two weeks in February!
Arkansas is known for its rice and ducks. Don’t let the secret out, it has some of the best spec and snow goose hunting in the US! Black Duck Outfitters has teamed up with one of the best lodges in Arkansas to get in on the late season goose hunting. We first started going to Boondocks Lodge for some great duck hunting and to attend the Stuttgart World Duck Calling Championship and Duck festival in 2001.The lodge is locate just outside of Stuttgart in ST Charles, Arkansas. When we were duck hunting the rice fields we saw all the snows and specs and NO ONE was hunting them!! The specs would come into the duck decoys almost every day. So we contracted the lodge for ONLY 3 weeks to get onto this great goose hunting!!
This is not your average and typical spring snow goose hunt where you are paying an outfitter $500-$600 to hunt for 3 days not including food and lodging. You will be staying in a TOP NOTCH lodge with all meals included!!
Hunts:
We Hunt Both Mornings and Evenings:
The huge RICE fields are ours and the geese’s main targets. Large decoy spreads with laydown, field or pit blinds will be used. Electronic callers will be used when the conservation season starts the first week in February. The lodge has hundreds of thousand of acres leased every year. The limits the last week in January are Specs 2 per day. Canada Geese 2 per day and Snow geese 20 per day. After that, the conservation season starts and we have NO LIMIT on snows!! Pro-staffer Jarrad Brown has over 12 years experience hunting spring snows and he will be managing and guiding the hunts.
Seasons and Dates:
We are ONLY at the lodge for 3 weeks. We start the day after duck season closes, the last week in January, for 5 days of combo spec and snow hunts. Then it is ALL snow goose hunting with e-callers, unplugged guns, and NO LIMITS till the middle of February. Check with us for the exact dates every year
Weather:
Bring hip boots! It is still cold and wet that time of year. Temps are from the 20’s to 50 degrees. We might get snow!! Check with us before your hunt.
Location:
The lodge is in St. Charles Arkansas and is surrounded by the White River Refuge. The lodge is a two hour drive from the airports at Little Rock AR. or Memphis TN.

The Boondocks Lodge is a Fantastic lodge to stage our hunts from. The food, lodging and atmosphere are exactly what you would think of with GREAT southern cooking and hospitality! The lodge has lots of room to spread out and relax after a long days hunt. Great food, great people and a great hunt, that is what it is all about!!

Deposits:
